  • If you are getting confused by all these new rickettsioses, you are not alone. "Six new rickettsioses have been identified in the past 13 years, including Japanese spotted fever, Astrakhan fever, Flinders Island spotted fever, California flea typhus due to Rickettsia felis, African tick-bite fever due to R africae, and a new rickettsiosis caused by R mongolotimonae in Marseilles."
